WEP involved in the acquisition of an approximately 600,000 square foot hotel and office mixed use project in Lexington, KY from The Blackstone Group in $50.0 million transaction.

Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a long-term portfolio company investment of WEP's private equity group, files for a $172.5 million IPO with JP Morgan as lead underwriter. WEP and private investment funds under its management invested approximately $24.0 million in the company since 2001 in series B, C and D rounds prior to the announcement of the IPO.

WEP acquires and sells notes on two neighborhood shopping centers located in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach, Florida. The notes, which were purchased from a major money center bank, had a face value in excess of $33.0 million and were secured by properties with total square footage of approximately 200,000.

WEP forms Wharton Columbia Net Lease Partners to pursue acquisition of net lease properties throughout the United States.

WEP completes $110.0 million housing development in Westchester, New York. Project spans over 300 acres and almost 200 single family homes.

An affiliate of WEP has made a follow-on investment in New York City-based DataMinr. WEP made its original investment earlier in 2011. DataMinr is a technology company developing a Social Media Analytics Platform for financial industry professionals.

WEP forms Wharton Land Partners, headquartered in Raleigh, NC. The Company is focused on acquisitions of larger-scale distressed residential projects in the southeast United States.

WEP sells New York Metro area 6,500-unit self storage portfolio to affiliate of Northwestern Mutual Life for approximately $56.0 million.
